RECONSTRUCTION
MASTERCLASS
“The cutting edge of reconstructive surgery training”
Restoring form and function of the impaired human body can be one of the most demanding and rewarding challenges in all of surgery.
The wide diversity of reconstructive problems warrants a structured approach, and may involve complex treatment algorithms and surgical skill that can seem difficult to master.
The Reconstructive Masterclass aims to expedite reconstructive surgery education. Following in the footsteps of the Esser Masterclass, we offer hands-on, tailor-made dissection courses, led by experts in the field. These courses encompass facial reconstruction, oncoplastic breast surgery, lower limb reconstruction, and microsurgical technique.
Each defect poses a unique challenge, involving specific anatomical structures, reconstructive goals, and surgical techniques aimed to improve the patient’s quality of life.
Our mission is to empower reconstructive surgeons around the world to stand up to any reconstructive challenge, by providing the cutting edge of reconstructive surgery training.

SkillsLab
The Erasmus MC SkillsLab & Simulation Center in Rotterdam is our medical-technical surgical training facility. It boasts fully equipped, ultramodern operating rooms. Microsurgery, X-ray scanning, 3-D surgery and virtual reality training are just a small selection of the large armamentarium the SkillsLab has to offer. The number one priority of the Reconstructive Masterclass is to provide the best possible learning environment, which allows participants to fully focus on development of their operating skills.
