Course Introduction
Breast cancer affects as many as one in seven women in the Netherlands. Aided by advances in diagnostics and oncology, plastic surgeons can play a pivotal role in facilitating breast conservation therapy by applying oncoplastic techniques.
During this intensive two-day course, experts from the field will share their knowledge and views on oncoplastic breast surgery. The faculty will guide participants every step of the way, as they learn to plan and mark surgeries on live models, and carry out the dissections in the wet lab.
The practical sessions will be performed on fresh frozen cadavers with three participants per specimen, and will cover the essential volume displacement and volume replacement techniques.

FAIR-TRAED
Esser Masterclass introduced a new education principle: FAIR-TRAED (Fair Transparent Education). FAIR-TRAED means that the registration fees are directly invested in the Esser Masterclass educational materials to advance plastic surgery trainings. The organisation and the faculty have a passion for plastic surgery and support FAIR-TRAED which means that they do not receive any financial compensation. This enables Esser Masterclass to keep the registration fees at a minimum. Our mission is making high-quality plastic surgery education accessible for every plastic surgeon around the globe and our motto is training form plastic surgeons to plastic surgeons.
